Mini Rugby

The Mini’s  call themselves the “Kingston Tigers” and cater for boys and girls from 5yrs old to 11yrs old.

We train and play matches most Sundays, either at home or away, during the Rugby season from 10:00 to 12:00 unless otherwise advised.  When at home, the children go upstairs into the clubhouse where they are given a bowl of pasta for lunch while they chat about the morning’s activities.  We also run a programme of training in the summer.

The emphasis is on fun and friendly competition within a family orientated club where everyone belongs no matter what their skill level or ability.  Our coaches are RFU qualified.

With the excellent club facilities and a full calendar of rugby and social events the children and their parents feel welcome from their very first visit. If you and your child are considering Rugby as a sport then support your local club and come on down and meet the Kingston Tigers.

The children participate in rugby in the following groups;

  • U6 to U8 – tag (non-contact) rugby
  • U9, U10 and U11  – contact rugby

Go on, give us a try, make Sundays fun and support your local club!  See the membership page for costs and forms.

To join in the fun, just drop in on Sunday morning for a taster session or contact Rob Johnson for more info.

Junior Rugby

Welcome to the Junior section of the site. Rugby is a great way to stay fit & active and to make new friends but it’s also a place to learn discipline, teamwork and respect. At Kingston we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, family-friendly, community club. We have a strong Minis section which is now growing into a Junior section.

In the 2021-2022 season we are looking to strengthen all our junior side with help from the RFU and local secondary schools to increase our player numbers.

If you’ve never played before, or you’re a seasoned player, why not drop by or visit us for a taster session, we’d love to see you.

All our coaches are DBS checked and our safeguarding officer is responsible for the safety and well being of the children playing rugby at the club.

We train every Sunday morning 10am – 12pm at the club ground from September through to April. Regular games take place on Sundays too.

To join in the fun, just drop in on Sunday morning for a taster session or contact Rob Johnson for more info.
